Drop-ins are always welcome. Please bring your own yoga mat.  All other props are provided.

Priya Yoga

Priya yoga is a unique style of yoga that provides the framework for deep exploration and release of long-held tension and stress. The focus on breath and grounding in each yoga asana allows muscles to unwind and joints to open, freeing the body for a joyful expression of flow and grace.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is classical yoga.  It includes asanas (yoga postures), breathing and meditation.  Practice improves flexibility, builds strength, relieves stress and increases overall health and well-being.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa yoga uses classical yoga asanas, moving from one posture to the next on an inhalation or exhalation.  The faster pace increases the heart rate and invigorates the body.  Previous yoga experience is recommended for this class.


Nia

Nia is a movement practice that combines elements of dance, martial arts and healing arts to provide total-body cardiovascular conditioning. Martial arts such as tae kwon do, tai chi and aikido bring in power and strength, while jazz, modern dance and Duncan dance offer opportunities for playfulness and personal expression. Aspects of yoga, Alexander Technique and movement awareness foster self-healing and personal growth. Blended together, these different modalities create the unique practice of Nia.

Nia can be adapted to any level of fitness. It can be very athletic or extremely gentle depending on the individual’s capabilities and desires.

T'ai Chi

This gentle form of exercise is often described as meditation in motion.  The class begins with warm-ups, and includes qigong and instruction in the practice of t'ai chi forms.  This mind-body practice is suitable for any level of fitness and can treat or prevent many health problems.


Private Sessions

Yoga therapy sessions are available by appointment. Individual sessions offer the opportunity to more deeply explore personal health challenges and body issues. Thai yoga massage sessions are also available by appointment. Thai yoga is a type of assisted yoga practice that involves therapeutic stretching, joint mobilization and rhythmic compression along energy lines. This practice is done fully-clothed on a futon with a certified Thai yoga therapist. Recipients enjoy deep relaxation and renewed energy.
